Yoo Ji Tae & Lee Yo Won To Become Undercover Agents In Period Spy Drama “Different Dreams”

Actors Yoo Ji Tae and Lee Yo Won have finalized their appearance for higly-anticipated historical drama, Different Dreams!

Lee Mong will commence filming on October and is looking to be broadcast in the first half of 2019.

The series will be set during Japanese colonial period in Gyeongsong (now Seoul) and will also cover Manchuria and Shanghai in China.

The lead actors, Yoo Ji Tae and Lee Yo Won, will give life to spies who play important roles as Korean independence freedom fighters against the Japanese empire.

The series will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea.

Yoo Ji Tae is up to play as the leader of a secret organization aiming for Korean independence, while Lee Yo Won takes a surgeon-by-day-and-spy-by-night character supporting the freedom movement cause.

Director Yoon Sang Ho, who last worked in SBS’ Saimdang: Light’s Diary, will call the shots of the production. His previous projects include Bride of the Century and The Legend.

Yoo Ji Tae’s acclaimed performance in last year’s insurance fraud crime drama thriller, Mad Dog, eyes to duplicate another resonating performance for one of South Korea’s representative actor.

Although more famous for his film projects (One Fine Spring Day, Old Boy, Hello Schoolgirl, Midnight FM), the actor’s recent television dramas, The Good Wife and Healer, have been praised by the viewers.

His latest collaboration with well-loved Korean actress Lee Yo Won is anticipated to create an extraordinary synergy given their acting prowess and attention to details when suiting up for characters sketched for them.

Her drama portfolio boasts popular series such as Queen Seon Deok, 49 Days, Horse Healer, Empire of Gold and last year’s Buam Dong Revenge Social Club.

On September 28, Lim Ju Hwan (Bride of Habaek, Uncontrollably Fond) confirmed appearance in the production.

Different Dreams aims for a worldwide broadcast next year.
