IVE is coming to the Philippines for The First Fan Concert: The Prom Queens In Manila. Organized by DNM Entertainment, the fan concert will commence on June 17, 5PM, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
And to make sure Filipino DIVEs are ready, here are 5 IVE songs that you should definitely add to your playlist ahead of the upcoming prom night with the lovely queens.
I AM
Released in April 2023, “I AM” served as the title track to IVE’s first studio album, I’ve Ive. The song captures the independence of living one’s life. It contains a powerful message about finding yourself in a better and improved version than yesterday.
“I AM” also expressed each member’s confidence. It included dynamic vocal performances in perfect harmony with the hypnotic drumbeats and bass. One major point in the song is the exhilarating chorus with easy-to-follow choreography.
KITSCH
“KITSCH” is a pre-release single for the first studio album, I’ve Ive. It actively created a hot trend not only in South Korea but also internationally, which demonstrated IVE’s impeccable global presence. The song is a bubbly, upbeat pop piece that features punchy beats, basslines, and bouncing sounds.
ELEVEN
Of course, we could not skip the debut song of IVE! “ELEVEN” is a pop dance genre that maximizes the mysterious charm of the six members, Yujin, Gaeul, Wonyoung, Liz, Rei, and Leeseo.
Lyrically, the song expresses the heart of a girl in love with fantastic color. It shows off an unrivaled teamwork that also displayed the individuality of each member.
Love Dive
“Love Dive” is from the second single album of the same name, released in April 2022. Falling somewhere in between a combination of dark pop and electropop, this song has sounds of percussion instruments, a rhythmic bass line, synth, and trap mix.
The music video for the song is filled with vivid colors, alluring details, and exemplary graphic effects. And like all IVE songs, the chorus for this song is appealing and easy to sing-along.
After Like
“After Like” was a whole new culture! It is the title track for the third single album of the same name, which was released in August 2022. Influenced from EDM, disco music, and house music, “After Like” is a pop track that depicts the idea of expressing your love for someone through actions. One point to focus on was the instrumental and dance break that features Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive.”
