NCT’s Taeyong Debuts with Self-Composed and Self-Written “SHALALA” EP
In his solo debut album, Taeyong from NCT showcased his producing prowess and creative side, taking charge of the songwriting and composition for every track on the mini album.
Taeyong’s greatest strength is that he consistently delivers amazing rap, performances, vocals, and visuals. The outcome offered as a solo artist appears to be a springboard where his versatility is maximized.
His skill as a singer-songwriter is also anticipated given that he began penning songs and composing music as soon as he made his NCT debut.
On June 5, the NCT leader will release his debut mini-album SHALALA, which will feature a title track with the same name. The hip-hop song “SHALALA” has a catchy chorus, a loose rhythmic bridge section, and a clever rhyme flow. The message in the lyrics is, “We can all shine anywhere.”
Taeyong’s first mini-album ‘Shalala’ will be released on various music sites at 6 p.m. on the same day, and the music video for the title song ‘SHALALA’ will be uploaded concurrently through the YouTube SMTOWN channel.
The album contains seven tracks in all, namely “SHALALA,” “GWANDO,” “Move Mood Mode,” “RUBY,” “Virtual Insanity,” “404 File Not Found,” and “Back to the Past.”
On June 5, Taeyong will stage a show at the SJ Kunsthalle in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, to celebrate his solo debut. The event will be streamed live on Idol Plus, TikTok NCT channel, and YouTube.
In the showcase, Taeyong intends to perform new songs from his debut mini-album, including the album’s title song, and to share a variety of tales about the making of his solo album, behind-the-scenes anecdotes, and upcoming activities.
