“Doctor Cha” Foretells A Story of Self-Love and Self-Discovery
New posters of JTBC’s upcoming human medical drama are out!
Doctor Cha depicts the conflicted life of Cha Jung-sook who became a first-year resident doctor after being a housewife for 20 years. Confronting a life reboot challenge after her husband’s betrayal, the story brings thrilling laughter and empathy.
Playing the titular role is Uhm Jung Hwa. She plays Cha Jung-sook who wears a doctor’s gown again after 20 years, leaving behind her long career as a housewife.
Surviving an unexpected crisis, she decides to re-challenge the career she gave up for the sake of her family, and her life begins anew.
Next, chameleon actor Kim Byung Chul portrays Seo In-ho, the thorough and meticulous head of surgery at a university hospital who is Jung-sook’s strict and sensitive husband.
He is a perfectionist who never loses his dignity and composure 365 days a year, but he has a shameless secret that will shock everyone. Then, his gratitude to his wife, who gave up the path of a doctor and endured the arduous life of a married woman faded.
Previously, a teaser video shows an unusual rebellion that changed Cha Jung-sook’s life.
Along with that are teaser posters that pique viewers’ interest. In the first poster, Cha Jung Sook slaps her husband Seo In Ho. The reversal in their relationship draws further interest in their story.
In the second poster released, Cha Jung Sook smiles brightly as she takes brave steps out of the world.
Doctor Cha will be broadcast for the first time at 10:30 pm on April 15.
