Lee Junho And Im Yoona Confirmed For Drama “King the Land”

Fans of second-generation K-Pop groups are surely over the moon right now as 2PM’s Junho and SNSD’s Yoona confirm their appearance together on a new drama!

With plans to display their impressive acting skills, 2PM’s Lee Junho and Girls’ Generation’s Yoona recently accepted the lead roles for the upcoming drama King The Land.

Revolving around the romantic comedy genre, the program is about a chaebol heir named Goo Won (played by Lee Junho) who cannot stand fake smiles. He meets Cheon Sa Rang (played by Yoona) who always has her brightest smile on even when she does not want to due to the nature of her profession.

Together, the two will come together to find happy days in which they can sincerely smile brightly together. King the Land refers to a VVIP business lounge, which is a place of dreams for hoteliers.

MEET THE LEAD STARS

2PM’s vocalist Lee Junho, who is known for his passion and determination for his work and performances, will take on the role of Goo Won who has been thrown into the a battle of inheritance for the King Group, which owns hotels, an airline, and distribution companies. With a brilliant mind, innate dignity, and chic charms, Goo Won has everything except for good sense when it comes to love and dating.

Viewers can anticipate how Junho will portray such an exciting and cool role, given that his previous one has a more serious concept.

Meanwhile, Yoona, who has a colorful acting spectrum that crosses movies and dramas and a lovely charm, will play the role of Cheon Sa Rang who makes the world brighter with just her smile. She lands a job at King Hotel, which gave her the happiest memories of when she was young.

With her charming character, Yoona will surely bring out a new image that viewers can thoroughly anticipate. 

King the Land is the brainchild of scriptwriter Cheon Sung Il, who wrote “All of Us Are Dead. BY4M and Npio Entertainment of “The Red Sleeve,” “Forecasting Love and Weather,” and “A Time Called You” will produce the drama.

Filming for the drama reportedly begins this coming fall. The broadcast schedule and platform are still being discussed.
