EXO’s Xiumin To Make His Comeback On The Small Screen After 7 Years
EXO-Ls are surely in for an exciting treat soon from Xiumin as he confirms his appearance in the upcoming drama Sajangdol Mart!
Xiumin of powerhouse boy group EXO has recently accepted the role to star in the upcoming drama Sajangdol Mart (romanized title).
On September 14, JTBC News reported that Xiumin will be starring as the lead of the new afore-noted drama. Shortly after, a source from SM Entertainment confirmed, “Xiumin will be leading the new drama ‘Sajangdol Mart.’”

The program depicts the various stories that unfold as past idol group members gather together to run a supermarket. Leading the overall production of the drama is producing director (PD) Lee Yoo Yeon of the web drama Best Mistake.
Kim Min Seok, better known by his stage name Xiumin, debuted in 2012 as one of the members of phenomenal Korean boy band EXO. He began his career as actor in 2015 through the web drama Falling for Challenge, wherein he played the character of Na Do Jeon alongside actress Kim So Eun. Around this time, he also appeared in his group’s own web series called EXO Next Door for a minor role.
The following year, he starred in the film Seondal: The Man Who Sells the River, alongside Yoo Seung Ho. The film is based on ancient novel of satire and humor about Kim Seon-dal who sold off the Taedong River. Distributed by CJ Entertainment, it garnered about $15 million box office sales.
That said, expectations are now rising as to what persona Xiumin will transform into and how he will flawlessly portray his new exciting role.
In related new, Xiumin is also gearing up for his long-awaited solo debut with his first album Brand New, which is set for release on September 26 at 6 PM KST.
