“The Good Bad Mother” Presents Character Posters and Details of Ra Mi Ran and Lee Do Hyun

Given a chance to reset a mother and son relationship, JTBC’s The Good Bad Mother promises a story of healing set in a small town.

Ra Mi Ran, Lee Do Hyun and Ahn Eun Jin are set to decorate the small screen with a therapeutic story brimming with laughter in The Good Bad Mother.

The series follows the story of a single mom who has been widowed at a young age, Young-soon runs a pig farm, and raises her son Kang-ho by herself. She becomes a “bad mother” – hard on her son because she doesn’t want him to grow up penniless or powerless.

Thanks to her discipline, Kang-ho grows up to be a prominent prosecutor, but loses his memory due to an unfortunate accident and becomes a 7-year-old again. Young-soon decides to become a “bad mother” again for Kang-ho in this comforting and touching comedy series that tracks the journey of recovery between mother and son.

In charge of the production is Director Shim Na-yeon of Beyond Evil and At Eighteen fame. Penning the script is Writer Bae Se Young who worked on films Life is Beautiful, Extreme Job, and Intimate Strangers to name a few.

Accordingly, the released character stills gives a peek at Young-soon and kang-ho.

Youngsoon’s years of living as Kang-ho’s mother are shown. First of all, her determined and resolute gaze toward Kang-ho draws attention. The sight of her earnestly praying also heightens curiosity.

Young-soon, who had long since forgotten her own dream, made her one and only son the goal and reason of her life. She is known as a friendly and naive woman running a pig farm for the villagers of Jouri. But she is a ‘strong mom’ who has never praised or encouraged her son Kang-ho properly.

Meanwhile, Kang-ho’s life meant to please his mother is also highlighted.

His school days, when he devoted himself to studying, saving even time to eat and sleep, captures interest. Regardless of his will, Kang-ho became a competent and rational prosecutor after quenching himself for his mother’s old dream.

However, the moment they believed that Yeongsoon and Kangho’s happiness was complete, they faced another misfortune. In the ensuing photos, the charisma of the cold-blooded prosecutor is nowhere to be found. Instead, we see his innocent appearance making us wonder about the change that befell him.

JTBC’s The Good Bad Mother will be broadcast for the first time on April 26 at 10:30 pm with a total of 14 episodes.
