WATCH: Trailer for “Gyeongseong Creature” Season 2 Brings the Battle of Karma to Modern-Day Seoul
The trailer for Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 teases a gripping continuation, set to debut on September 27 following the success of the first season.
While the initial season explored a tragic romance set against the backdrop of 1945 Gyeongseong, Season 2 transports the story to 2024 Seoul, where fate and karma intertwine across time. The new season follows Ho-jae, a man eerily similar to Tae-sang, and Chae-ok, a survivor of the Gyeongseong spring, as they confront mysterious events in modern Seoul.
The trailer hints at the resurgence of past horrors, as a series of strange killings grips the city. Chae-ok encounters Ho-jae, whom she immediately recognizes as Tae-sang, leaving her confused. Meanwhile, Kuroko Leader, continuing sinister experiments at Jeonseung Biotech, adds to the suspense. The season raises the question of how fate and karma from Gyeongseong will collide in Seoul.
Character posters revealed Ho-jae (Park Seo-jun), who resembles Tae-sang, and Chae-ok (Han So-hee), now fully adapted to 2024, leaving fans curious about her survival after Season 1.
New characters, Kuroko Leader (Lee Mu-saeng) and Seung-jo (Bae Hyeon-seong), intensify the story, with Kuroko Leader plotting secret experiments and Seung-jo chasing Ho-jae and Chae-ok.
Season 2 of Gyeongseong Creature premieres on Netflix on September 27.
