IDID Signals Unconventional Debut with Experimental ‘IN CHAOS, I Did It’ Concept
Starship Entertainment’s newest boy group, IDID, born through the agency’s ambitious large-scale debut project Debut’s Plan, is stepping into the spotlight with a concept that radiates originality—one they describe as the vibe of a “high-end rough doll.”
Their first concept teasers immediately drew attention for their bold, inventive atmosphere, combining youthful freshness with an artistic edge.
On the 13th, Starship released the first concept photos for IDID’s upcoming first digital single album PUSH BACK, accompanied by the phrase “IN CHAOS, I did it.” The images were unveiled through the group’s official channels, showcasing members Jang Yong-hoon, Kim Min-jae, Park Won-bin, Chu Yoo-chan, Park Sung-hyun, Baek Jun-hyeok, and Jung Se-min. From the very first frame, IDID’s youthful energy blends with a refined yet rugged charm, presenting a unique mood where decorated, high-end textures coexist with raw, natural styling.
The concept photos under the theme “IN CHAOS, I did it” highlight the rookie group’s willingness to embrace unpredictability. Each member expresses a sense of unfiltered freedom through uninhibited poses and expressions—nothing about the visuals feels confined to a single idea or category. The experimental compositions break away from conventional patterns, resulting in images that feel both refreshing and forward-thinking. Instead of following familiar aesthetic trends, IDID leans fully into their role as creative artists, crafting their own style and setting the stage for what fans describe as an evolution into true “high-end rough dolls.”
Further elevating the concept, the members’ eclectic styling plays a crucial role in expressing the chaotic yet liberating theme of PUSH BACK. Their outfitting—featuring intentionally worn-in caps, mismatched gloves in contrasting materials, quirky layers like long sleeves over oversized tees—adds both texture and tension. These playful yet edgy details capture IDID’s identity: a group unafraid to subvert fashion norms and transform the unexpected into something visually striking. This sense of freedom, found in the midst of artistic chaos, forms the backbone of their upcoming release.
Even before these concept images dropped, IDID had been generating curiosity through a series of distinctive promotional content. Teasers featuring symbolic objects such as melting ice, musical instruments, and a fish gracefully circling a fishbowl offered early hints of the group’s unconventional storytelling. Their showcase poster and promotional timetable further emphasized a unique, almost surreal atmosphere. The “IDID IN CHAOS” logo video—featuring precisely sculpted ice shattering apart—left a strong impression, while the idid.zip content became so popular that fans humorously claimed they exceeded their download limits. To top it off, their first teaser video featured the members entering a trance-like state of freeform dancing, signaling from the start that IDID is not here to follow the mold—they’re here to break it.
With each preview, anticipation continues to grow. Fans and spectators alike are eager to discover how IDID’s multidimensional concept will unfold and what musical color they plan to reveal with this debut-era transformation.
IDID’s first digital single album PUSH BACK is set to be released across major music platforms at 6 PM on Thursday, November 20. On the same day, the group will hold a comeback showcase at 7:30 PM at the COEX Outdoor Plaza in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. For global fans, the showcase will also be streamed live on IDID’s official YouTube channel—giving audiences everywhere a chance to witness the birth of Starship’s next-generation performers.
