LUCY Returns as a Full Band with Nostalgic New Era ‘Childish’

LUCY is officially making their long-awaited full-group comeback after about two years, unveiling the first glimpse of their second full-length album Childish.

On April 10, the band—Shin Ye-chan, Choi Sang-yeop, Jo Won-sang, and Shin Kwang-il—released a signature logo film and album cover through their official social media, confirming the album’s release on the 29th. The teaser immediately stood out with its vivid, animated aesthetic: a striking red train racing across a bright blue sky and lush green fields, blending motion and imagination in a dreamlike visual.

The concept continues a thematic thread from their earlier work. Following the innocence and nostalgia of their first full album Childhood, Childish appears to revisit memory and emotion through a more playful yet reflective lens. The red train in particular carries emotional weight, echoing imagery from their pre-debut prologue film LUCY: traveler & guide, where a journey to “Lucy Island” symbolized the band’s origin story.

For fans, the visuals feel like a callback to where it all began—tying past and present into one continuous narrative of growth and return.

This comeback is especially meaningful as it marks the group’s first full-album release since FROM. in August 2024, now completed with the return of Shin Kwang-il following his military discharge. With all members reunited, the band emphasized stronger teamwork and heightened musical completeness.

Alongside the album release on May 29 at 6 PM, LUCY will also meet fans in person through their concert LUCY 9th CONCERT “ISLAND”, set for May 16–17 at KSPO DOME, promising a celebration of both reunion and renewed creative energy.
