“Golden,” created by THEBLACKLABEL’s powerhouse producer team—TEDDY, 24, and IDO—has officially entered the history books as the first K-pop song ever to win a Grammy Award.

At the 68th Annual Grammy Awards on February 1 in Los Angeles, the track claimed Best Song Written for Visual Media. Featured as the main theme of Netflix’s animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters, “Golden” represents a milestone not only for K-pop but for Korean creators worldwide.

The song serves as the emotional heart of the movie, playing during the climactic moment when virtual girl group HUNTR/X reaches its goal. Riding the film’s global popularity, “Golden” became an international sensation—dominating charts across multiple regions and achieving a rare soundtrack milestone by holding No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 for eight consecutive weeks.

THEBLACKLABEL’s producers accepted the award in person. Producer 24 shared an emotional message, dedicating the honor to TEDDY, calling him both his greatest mentor and closest friend. IDO producer Joong Gyu Kwak added that winning a Grammy represents the ultimate dream for any composer, expressing pride in helping bring K-culture to the global stage through music.

“Golden” had already built strong momentum, previously earning Best Original Song (Motion Picture) at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards. The track is also slated to compete at the 2026 BRIT Awards and the Academy Awards, underscoring the expanding influence of Korean content beyond music.

Led by TEDDY with producers 24 and IDO (Yu Han Lee, Hee Dong Nam, and Joong Gyu Kwak), THEBLACKLABEL’s team composed and arranged “Golden” alongside EJAE and Mark Sonnenblick, quickly turning it into a worldwide mega-hit. The label also produced additional soundtrack tracks—How It’s Done, Soda Pop, and Your Idol—further powering K-Pop Demon Hunters and spotlighting K-pop’s growing role in global storytelling.
