According to the Circle Chart announcement on July 14, out of the total album sales of 55 million copies in the first half of this year, albums by HYBE label artists accounted for more than 22.2 million copies (approximately 40.4%).
A total of six groups, including BTS member Jimin, Seventeen, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPEN, Le Sserafim, and NewJeans made it to the top 10.
In particular, Seventeen’s performance shone. They wrote a new history in K-pop by selling 8,904,129 albums in the first half of this year alone. This is thanks to the exceptional popularity of the new album FML.

In the music category, NewJeans stood out by far. NewJeans swept the 1st to 3rd places on the digital charts in the first half of this year with “Ditto”, “OMG” and “Hype boy”, imprinting their presence as a digital music powerhouse.
In addition, New Jeans’ debut song “Attention” ranked 7th, and Le Sserafim’s “ANTIFRAGILE” ranked 9th.

Thanks to the success of the two girl groups, HYBE labels placed five songs, half of them, in the ‘Top 10’ of the first half of the chart.
The overwhelming performance in the music charts is the power of HYBE’s multi-label strategy. the company created a virtuous cycle structure that increases the possibility of creating a super IP by guaranteeing complete autonomy and independence for each label.
As a result, the creative capabilities of Big Hit Music, Pledis Entertainment, Belief Lab, Source Music, Ador, and KOZ Entertainment were strengthened and they were able to continuously provide high-quality music to K-pop fans.
