Seventeen’s Mingyu Apologizes To Fans After Injury
Mingyu is regretful for being unable to perform fully for Carats.
Seventeen’s Mingyu recently sustained a back injury, causing his activities to be affected as well. His agency, Pledis Entertainment, posted a notice on the group’s fancafe to reassure fans about Mingyu’s well-being.
The post stated that he received medical treatment for the injury, which was thankfully not severe. Although the injury is recovering, Mingyu will still attend to his schedules. He took to Seventeen’s Twitter to apologize to fans, while clarifying his participation in the group’s coming events.

“I am sorry and upset because it feels like I am causing harm to the fans and the members,” Mingyu wrote. The idol also mentioned that despite of his minor back injury, his agency advised him to consider the long-term impacts. He shared that the other Seventeen members reassured him about the situation too.
As for the concerts, he will still be performing, but will sit out on performances with difficult choreography. Mingyu expressed his regret and apologies to Carats once more for “not being careful”, and promised to recover quickly so that he can show them a “proper performance”.
We wish Mingyu a speedy recovery!
