Supertone Collaborates With Netflix Series “MASK GIRL” To Pioneer Voice Technology

By  |

Supertone, a forefront pioneer in voice technology, collaborated with hit Netflix Series Mask Girl, where its cutting-edge “multi-speaker voice technology” was ingeniously employed.

Mask Girl, a seven-episode series that topped Netflix’s global top 10 (Non-English TV) by the second week of its release, follows the captivating journey of Kim Mo-Mi, an ordinary office worker who conceals her identity as an internet cam model by masking herself with mystery and allure.

To craft the voice of Mask Girl, Supertone used its technology to meld the timbre and acting tone of the two actresses who portray Kim Mo-Mi in different contexts – NANA and Lee Han-byeol. Its vocal fusion technology breathed life into the character’s multifaceted personality.

Supertone CEO Kyogu Lee stated, “Our technology has been harnessed to help content creators realize the vision of bringing a unique voice to the Mask Girl, enriching the overall content quality and view engagements. We are pleased to take part in perfecting a seamless content experience through this collaboration with the creators of Mask Girl.

Supertone, a distinguished business division within HYBE, is an innovative audio technology company that revolutionizes creative content through its cutting-edge sound solutions.

Supertone’s technology had also been applied to the Disney+ TV series ‘Big Bet,’ where the voice of a male actor in his 60s was altered to sound like a man in his 30s, creating a scene that nostalgically recalls old memories. This marked the world’s first instance of a voice de-aging technology applied to a TV series.

In the music industry, Supertone’s voice technologies have enabled HYBE’s artist MIDNATT to release a track simultaneously in six languages from Spanish to Vietnamese, marking a groundbreaking achievement.
