TREASURE Announces Comeback And Concert Plans + To Temporarily Promote As 10-Member Group

Multi-talented K-pop boy group TREASURE has revealed their plans for the second half of 2022.

Summer Comeback

According to YG Entertainment on May 27, TREASURE has started preparing for a new album to make a comeback this summer. The title song has already been confirmed. After finishing detailed tunings such as recording and choreography practice, the music video shooting will begin.

Specific details such as song information or album type have not been announced yet, but YG explained that they started preparing early as they had a big project waiting for them to celebrate their 2nd anniversary in August.

Concert Tour

In addition to various new song activities, the group plans to significantly increase the number of meetings with global fans. It is possible that they will hold their second domestic concert ahead of the arena tour in six cities in Japan, which starts at the end of the year.

A representative from YG Entertainment said, “The fans have been cheering since TREASURE’s first concert TRACE when all offline seats were sold out for two days. The members are also very strong in their desire to interact more with domestic fans, so they are positively reviewing additional concerts.”

The trend of album sales, one of the indicators of an artist’s popularity, is also noteworthy. Their recently released mini-album sold over 800,000 copies. Notably, the cumulative sales of three single albums and the first full-length album are more than two million copies. 

Promoting as 10-member group

Aside from the announcement of an upcoming comeback and concert tour, the group also revealed that the group will be promoting with only 10 members sans Mashiho and Bang Ye Dam.

Bang Ye Dam decided to focus on studying music. He aims to further strengthen his producing capabilities as an artist. Meanwhile, Mashiho is currently resting in Japan and will extend his break due to health reasons.

“We are always striving for the growth and support of our artists while putting the health of our members first,” the agency added.
