PULP Live World is now venturing into an ultimate film experience for Korean culture fans.
To mark its 25th anniversary, PULP Live World gives birth to PULP Studios, revealing its upcoming movie, Ma’am Chief: Shakedown in Seoul. Directed by Kring Kim and produced by Happee Sy-Go, the comedy-action film is set to be out in Philippine cinemas on November 15.
Ma’am Chief: Shakedown in Seoul tells the story of a brave Filipino policewoman who goes to South Korea for a secret mission. To arrest a fugitive, she has to disguise herself as a tour guide. Along her adventure, she encounters different people who will bring action, fun, and excitement to her life.
The PULP Live World COO, Happee Sy-Go, shared how they started to create the film. “The fusion of Filipino and Korean cultures in this film is something truly special. I’m thrilled about how it turned out and eager to share this unique cinematic experience with the public. I genuinely hope audiences will embrace the film with as much love and enthusiasm as we poured into creating it.”
Ma’am Chief: Shakedown in Seoul Cast
The debut film of PULP Studios feature both Filipino talent and Korean stars. Melai Cantiveros-Francisco is the titular character, SPO4 Crisselda Kaptan. She is a certified Kdrama and Kpop fan, dubbed as “fangirl pulis ng bayan.”
Ma’am Chief: Shakedown in Seoul also features Alora Sasam, Jennica Garcia, Karylle, Bernadette Allyson-Estrada, Dustine Mayores, Sela Guia, Manel Sevidal, Pepe Herrera, Enzo Almario, Louella Gomez, Al Tantay, and more. As this is a collaboration between two countries’ prides, the Korean cast is also packed with surprises.
In particular, the “Nation’s Little Brother” Lee Seung Gi will make a special cameo appearance on the film. Do Ji Han, Moon Kyung, Gabriel Choi, Yuju, and Rolling Quartz will also join the cast.
