BTS’ Suga Bids Temporary Farewell To Fans Ahead Of Nearing Military Enlistment

Set to become the third member of BTS to begin his mandatory service, Suga is confirmed to officially enlist in the military this coming Friday.

On September 17, BTS’ agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, released an official announcement about Suga’s nearing military service.

“Suga will be beginning his required service on September 22. There will not be any official events taking place on the day he starts his service or on the day he enters the training camp. We kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting Suga at his workplace during the period of his service. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts only,” the agency said.

In addition, the agency reminded ARMYs (BTS’ official fan club name) to avoid supporting unauthorized tours or package products that illegally use the artist’s intellectual property. The agency cautioned that they will take appropriate measures against attempts at any commercial activity that make unauthorized use of artist IP.

“We ask for your continued love and support for Suga until he completes his service and returns. Our company will also strive to provide all the support he needs during this time. Thank you,” the agency added.

A few hours after the announcement was released, BTS’ Suga held a Weverse Live to bid his temporary farewell to fans around the world. He assured them with a sweet promise to see each other again in 2025.
