AB6IX Announces Temporary Hiatus After May Concert, Closing a Chapter with Gratitude

AB6IX will be stepping into a temporary hiatus following their upcoming May concert, marking a reflective pause after seven years of group activities.

According to their agency Brand New Music, the group’s exclusive contract is set to conclude on May 25. After careful discussion with the members, AB6IX will wrap up group promotions with their final concert, 2026 AB6IX CONCERT “6IX TO SEVEN”, scheduled for May 23–24 in Seoul.

The agency clarified that this does not signal the end of discussions, noting that contract renewal talks are still ongoing. They emphasized that the members’ decisions will be fully respected as they stand at a new crossroads in their careers.

The statement also expressed deep appreciation for fans, thanking ABNEW for years of unwavering support and encouraging continued love for members Jeon Woong, Kim Dong-hyun, Park Woo-jin, and Lee Dae-hwi as they move into a new phase.

Since debuting under Brand New Music in 2019, AB6IX has grown from project group roots into a distinct musical act, shaped by consistent evolution in sound and performance. The agency highlighted their journey from MXM and Wanna One-era beginnings to establishing a unique identity as AB6IX.

As the group prepares for their final activities before the hiatus, anticipation is building around their farewell concerts—seen as both a closing moment and a quiet promise of what may come next.

AB6IX now enters a pause not as an ending, but as a transition—leaving behind a meaningful legacy while opening the door to new individual paths and possibilities.
