MONSTA X’s I.M Hints At Future Overseas Collabs During “Overdrive” Showcase

I.M stated fans can look forward to various collaborations with foreign artists after signing with Sony Music.

I.M’s new album Overdrive has a special meaning. It’s a solo activity with a different style from the charm he showed in MONSTA X, and it’s a new one that’s about 2 years since his first solo album Duality released in February 2021. Also, Overdrive is very meaningful as it is the first album released by Sony Music.

Regarding the reason for the transfer, I.M said, “I thought that if I was refined, I would be comfortable with myself. As the lyrics say, ‘It’s now or never, this feeling,’ it seems that it has to be now or never. Heading is okay, so I needed time to break away to change myself. There is a new environment, but I also wanted to pursue something new in terms of musical genre.”

I.M continued, “I thought that if the environment changes, even small things will come to me in a new way. While working on this album, there was no part that I could say I did not participate in. There was no place. Above all, I thought that Sony Music had a wide overseas infrastructure and there were various artists, so I thought about my future collaborations. Please look forward to various activities,” raising expectations.

He also said, “The reason we release the album at 1:00 on Friday is that we thought it was a time that many global fans could enjoy,” and, “I think there will be many opportunities for collaboration overseas while working with Sony Music in the future.”

I.M’s new album Overdrive contains a new emergency and the will to run without hesitation for the goal set by oneself under any circumstances. It contains a total of 6 songs, including the title track “Overdrive,” “Blame,” “Dumb,” “Habit,” “More,” and “Not Sorry.”

Meanwhile, Overdrive is now available to stream on various music sites.
