After the long wait, NCT 127 finally graced the Philippine stage to connect with their Filipino fans.

Marking their first-ever solo concert in the Philippines, the multi-talented South Korean boy group NCT 127 showed what a perfect K-pop party should be like through their sold-out NEO CITY: THE LINK in Manila.

Presented by the local event organizer, Pulp Live World, NCT 127’s NEO CITY: THE LINK in Manila was held face-to-face on September 4, 2022, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena and lasted for almost three hours.

Filipino Czennies (also known as NCTzens, the official fan club name of NCT) filled the venue with their passionate cheers, showing how much they waited for their favorite boy group.

Fiery Entry

Causing uproar early on, Taeyong, Taeil, Johnny, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark, and Haechan appeared on stage with their immaculate white outfits.

The K-pop nonet kicked off the concert party with their hit track “Kick It” and followed it up with “Lemonade” and “Simon Says.”

Excited to see their long-awaiting fans for the first time in over three years since the K-Pop World Music Festival 2019, the boys greeted fans and expressed their gratitude for their continuous love and support.  The group’s reliable leader, Taeyong, said, “It’s our first concert in Manila. We’ll show you our full energy tonight.” Mark added, “Thank you for being patient. Let’s make this the best show ever!”

With a new stage set, the boys continued the show by taking their concert to the next level with “Elevator,” “Dreamer,” and “Love Song.”

Captivating Solo And Unit Stages

The NCT 127 members presented stunning solo and unit performances to make the concert more memorable for fans.

Showcasing their heavenly vocals, Taeil took the center stage with “Another World” and then belted out “Love Sign” together with Haechan, while Jaehyun and Doyoung captivated the crowd with “Lost” and “The Reason Why It’s Favorite,” respectively. Moreover, the group’s trusted vocalists, Taeil, Doyoung, Jungwoo, Jaehyun, and Haechan serenaded fans with the song “The Rainy Night.”

With their unrivaled swag and rapping skills, Mark performed “Vibration” while Taeyong gave a fiery “Moonlight” number. The two all-rounder idols then teamed up to show their chemistry as a duo with their self-composed collaboration track “The Himalayas.”

Turning up the heat at the arena, Jungwoo showed his grooves by performing “Lipstick.” Afterward, all eyes were on Johnny as he went shirtless dancing in a shower room setup. Lastly, Yuta displayed his artistry with a “Butterfly” number.

Stunning Group Performances

Known for their admirable chemistry and impressive choreographies, NCT 127 also delighted Filipino Czennies with performances of “Highway to Heaven,” “Focus,” “White Night,” “Favorite,” “Bring The Noize,” and “Love On The Floor.”

Showing a fresh concept this time around, the members returned on stage with casual but stylish ensembles to perform “Paradise,” “Touch,” and “Love Me Now.” The boys then hyped up the crowd further with “Cherry Bomb” and “Sticker.”

Wrapping up the almost three-hour party, NCT 127 gifted fans with an encore to remember. The nonet capped off the show with “Dreams Come True” and “Promise You,” expressing their gratitude for the fans’ love and leaving a vow to see each other again in the near future.

“It was really a great time. I’m a bit sad because it’s just one day. Next time I hope it will be two to three days. Thank you so much for your passionate cheers. We’ll come back here with better performances,” said Doyoung.

Amazed by the Filipino Czennies’ warm support, Johnny shared, “I can’t believe it’s our first time to perform here. I’m going to be honest, we’ll probably still hear you when we go home.”

As their very first solo concert in the Philippines, the NEO CITY: THE LINK in Manila proved to be truly worth the long wait for fans. Until next time, NCT 127!
