IVE Fascinates With Queenlike Confidence At “The Prom Queens in Manila” Press Conference

Radiantly shining with varying charms, IVE presented themselves as smart and stunning belles at the recent media conference for the Manila leg of The Prom Queens tour.

Embarking on their first-ever fan concert tour, IVE THE FIRST FAN CONCERT <The Prom Queens> visited Seoul, Tokyo and Kobe earlier this year.

Thereafter, Gaeul, Yujin, Rei, Liz, Wonyoung and Leeseo continue making their way to meet their overseas fans.

For the first time, the prized girl group of Starship Entertainment visits the Philippines on June 17, 5 PM at the Araneta Coliseum.

Before their eagerly-awaited concert stage, the girls meet the local press to share stories about their latest album and what’s in store for their upcoming concert.

Taking turns to answer the media questions, IVE members are polite and engaging in expressing their thoughts.

“We noticed the warm welcome of Filipinos is great,” said Wonyoung. Meanwhile, Ga-eul remarks that since this is their first time, they feel nervous and excited.

Speaking about what I’ve Ive, their first studio album is about, Yujin explained the dominant theme to be “self-love”.

She also takes pride in how each of the members took part in making and creating the songs in the album.

Rei reveals her favorite song in the album is “Shine with Me”. Speaking on behalf of the group, she gives a meaningful reason for picking the track.

“Shine With Me is a very special song. It allows us to reminisce our memories with Dive.”

Echoing the same thoughts, Leeseo mentions the title song “I am” shows the group’s great determination as an artist.

Going nostalgic, Liz remarks their debut song “Eleven” will always be special.

She said, “The song made us become known to people. Whenever I hear it, it takes me back to our early days.”

When asked which song they can recommend as a perfect dance track, Gaeul recommends “Kitsch”.

“Kitsch is a fun song to dance to. In fact, various artists took part in the dance challenge.”

Regarding the most fun-to-shoot music video, Wonyoung relays that everyone from the group would agree that shooting “Kitsch” was memorable for them.

As the quick media chat winds down, Yujin teases what PH Dive can expect from the fan concert.

“We will show performances that we haven’t shown before. There are songs that have never been broadcast before. Every member prepared a lot of things for the concert. So, PH DIVEs should look forward to it.”

Looking forward to meeting their Filipino fans, IVE leaves a short and sweet message to PH Dives.

“Since this is our first time in the Philippines, it is also memorable for us. We will continue to work hard as an artist. We hope everyone can continue to cheer for us.”
