BTS’ Jungkook Called Himself “Hyung” And Twitterverse Can’t Get Enough Of It

Youngest no more, but Jungkook does not seem to mind!

BTS’ Jungkook has seemingly embraced being a senior and older brother to Yeonjun, Soobin, Huening Kai, Taehyun, and Beomgyu of TXT, and his latest tweet spoke volumes of his affection towards them.

Big Hit Entertainment’s new boy group TXT shared a sweet photo update on its Twitter account, @TXT_members, featuring labelmate and senior group BTS.

In response to TXT’s sweet photo update with BTS, the “Euphoria” singer quoted the tweet and sent caring and supportive words to his labelmates.

Although fans went “aww” with his message, it was the way the singer introduced himself that made Twitterverse enter soft hours.

In his tweet, the youngest member of BTS called himself “Jungkookie hyung”. Hyung is a Korean word which means “older brother” and used by a younger male to address an older male.

Twitter saw the words “Jungkookie hyung” trend worldwide and top South Korea’s Twitter trends for five hours. Fans’ tweets vary from being in denial and feeling nostalgic, to creating scenarios between Jungkook, TXT, and other BTS members.

Despite the shock, ARMYs also relayed pride for the growth of their youngest member who was only 15 years old when he debuted. “From the most adorable to the most gorgeous man, our Jungkookie hyung grew up well,” one fan wrote.
