BLACKPINK is taking over American sound waves and print media with Billboard magazine.

BLACKPINK continues to make waves in the United States by being the first Korean girl group to appear on the cover page of Billboard Magazine.

Jisoo, Rosé, Jennie, and Lisa grace the pages of limited edition issues of the magazine, which will be available for sale on March 2. There will be five versions available: four covers featuring each member, and a cover featuring the whole group.

The issue celebrates the success BLACKPINK has encountered during their performances in the United States. Billboard released an online article to promote this issue, which recaps the girls’ debut and subsequent rise to fame in the United States.

The girls are described as “Korean music’s latest, greatest hope at breaking out of the American K-pop box.” Their influence in the United States is evident, as they are the highest-charting Korean girl group on Billboard’s charts.

Billboard also discusses the girls’ future plans; on how they are making history by being the first Korean act to perform in Coachella, after embarking on the North American leg of their In Your Area tour.

In an interview with Billboard, BLACKPINK noted that their global appeal lies in their multinational background. “We’ve got so much Korean culture and so much Western culture in us,” said Rosé.

These limited-edition issues will contain interviews that tackle the girls’ experiences as trainees, and how they handle their lives as K-Pop idols.
