EXO’s Chen Prepares To Release First Solo Album

EXO-Ls can look forward to being graced with Chen’s vocals once again as he prepares to release a solo album!

SM Entertainment confirms that Chen has been hard at work on producing his first solo album. The singer hopes to release the album in April, and he is already in the process of shooting an accompanying music video.

Although the entertainment company did not divulge specific details about the album’s release, it did note that Chen will be showcasing a new sound; a sound that he has not shown with EXO, or the sub-unit EXO-CBX.

Chen first showcased his abilities as a soloist by producing original soundtracks for various K-Dramas, for instance “The Best Luck” for the It’s Okay, That’s Love soundtrack in 2014.

The singer was next featured on the Descendants of the Sun soundtrack with “Everytime”, a track he performed with singer Punch.

Chen’s latest soundtrack feature was “Cherry Blossom Love Song”, from 100 Days My Prince.
