NCT To Create A New Team Through Reality Show “NCT UNIVERSE: LASTART”

A new addition to the NCT UNIVERSE will be unveiled very soon! 

The pre-debut reality show NCT UNIVERSE: LASTART, which leads to the selection of debutants and the team formation process, will be launched on July 27. 

LASTART is a compound word of LAST and START, meaning the end of NCT’s infinite expansion and the beginning of a new team. It is a project to introduce a new team of NCT, one of the three rookie teams mentioned in the previous “SM 3.0: NEW IP 2023” video, and is also the final chapter of NCT’s infinitely expanding worldview.

Male trainees participating in the NCT UNIVERSE: LASTART will be selected as debut members through ongoing missions. Senior artists BoA and Eunhyuk will host and judge as artist directors, and senior artists from SM Entertainment will appear each time to participate in and support the program.

In particular, this pre-debut reality show has global fans in every moment, from the practice process to the formation of the final team. 

This new team is foreshadowing a differentiated team that can better fit NCT’s worldview of regional connections, so NCT UNIVERSE: LASTART, newly introduced in the SM 3.0 era, will bring another change to the K-pop market. 

NCT UNIVERSE: LASTART will be broadcast simultaneously in Korea, Japan, and the United States. In Japan, it will be released through Hulu and Nippon TV channels, while in North America, Central America, and South America through KOCOWA+ (wavve Americas), and in Korea, it will be released simultaneously through ENA channels and TVing.
