Baekho Tests Positive For COVID-19

Your support is what Baekho needs right now, K-Pop fans! Baekho recently tested positive for COVID-19 and is now undergoing self-quarantine.

Pledis Entertainment has made an announcement regarding the current health status of one of its talented artists, Baekho.

On the morning of March 26, the agency released an official statement stating that the versatile and bright idol has recently contracted the COVID-19 virus.

Pledis Entertainment did not give further details as to how the artist tested positive, but they gave an update regarding what measures they have been taking.

The agency revealed that Baekho preemptively took a self-testing kit on March 26 and got a positive result. As a result, he immediately received a rapid antigen test and was diagnosed with COVID-19 afterwards.

“[He] is currently not exhibiting extraordinary symptoms and is administering self-treatment at home,” Pledis Entertainment added.

Regarding the idol’s future activities, the agency said that Baekho will adjust his schedule and focus on treatment for a while. They will also provide an update regarding his activity resumption once his isolation is over.

Assuring fans, Pledis Entertainment vowed that they will continue to provide support for the rapid recovery of Baekho and will make the health and safety of their artists as their top priority. They also promised to fully cooperate with the requests and guidelines of the South Korean healthcare authorities.

Following the news, fans from all over the world immediately sent their well-wishes to their beloved idol. Baekho took over Twitter’s Trending List, along with the hashtag “GetWellSoonBaekho.”

The messages fans sent were full of sincerity and concern, with hopes to ease the worries the artist is currently experiencing.

Meanwhile, Pledis Entertainment’s exclusive contract with NU’EST has ended on March 14. JR, Aron, and Ren left the agency, while Baekho and Minhyun decided to renew. On March 15, NU’EST released their last album together titled Needle & Bubble.
