BTS Showcases Their Influence By Spending The Most Weeks At No. 1 On Billboard’s Social 50 Chart
The superstar septet continues to showcase their worldwide influence through their reign on the Social 50 chart.
For the second month of the new decade, BTS continues their reign over the Billboard Social 50 chart. This week marked another record broken for the septet, as they remained on top of the chart for the week of February 8.
The Billboard Charts account recently confirmed that RM, Jin, J-Hope, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook had broken records with their 164th consecutive week on the Social 50 Chart. The septet bested Western singers such as Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, and Billie Eilish.

Using data measured by Next Big Sound, the Social 50 chart is a ranking of the most active artists on leading social networking sites. The ranking is determined through a combination of their following, page views, and weekly song plays.
BTS first took the top spot on the chart in October 2016, becoming the second K-Pop act following PSY to do so. After temporarily being bested by Ariana Grande, the group has been holding the number one position on Billboard’s Social 50 since 29 July 2017.
In related news, BTS will be making a comeback with their fourth studio album Map Of The Soul: 7 on February 21. According to Dreamus Company, BTS’ album distributor, Map Of The Soul: 7 has received pre-orders of a total of 3.42 million copies in its first week from January 9 to January 15.
BTS also revealed the dates and stops for their upcoming MAP OF THE SOUL world tour. Embarking on another massive concert series, the boys will soon visit various stadiums and domes in North America, Europe, and Asia.
