BTS’s RM Undergoes Surgery For Deviated Nasal Septum

Hope RM has a speedy recovery!

On February 5, a music industry source reported that BTS’s RM has undergone a surgery for his deviated nasal septum.

In response to the news, the singer’s agency Big Hit Entertainment made an official statement: “It is true that RM received surgery. He recently underwent surgery and has been discharged from the hospital. He is scheduled to take a break and focus on his health recovery for now.”

Deviated nasal septum is a condition in which the nasal septum – the bone and cartilage that divide the nasal cavity of the nose in half – is significantly off center, or crooked, making breathing difficult.

In related news, the BTS member decided to change his debut stage name from Rap Monster to RM last November, explaining that the new name is “a better fit for the music I pursue.”
