BTS’ Suga Makes Thoughtful Donation To Wildfire Victims On His Birthday

Happy birthday, BTS’ Suga!

Suga of the worldwide K-pop boy group, BTS, has celebrated his 30th birthday (Korean reckoning) by participating in a meaningful cause.

According to the Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief, BTS’ Suga donated 100 million won to help the victims affected by forest fires in Uljin, Gyeongbuk, and Samcheok, Gangwon.

Aiming to help them recover amid these trying times, Suga showed his warm heart, saying, “I hope it will be used for the residents suffering from the damage from the forest fire.”

Kim Jung Hee, the secretary-general of Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief, said, “With the warm hearts of Suga, a member of the global artist BTS, and their fans, we will do our best to support the victims of the wildfire so that they can get back on their feet again.”

In addition to the donation to support the damage caused by the wildfire, Suga donated 100 million won through the same organization to support the fight against COVID-19 in his hometown, Daegu, in 2020. Last year, he also celebrated his birthday by extending assistance to pediatric cancer patients. He turned over 100 million won (approximately $87,980) to Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital to support the children’s treatment.
