Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon Continues To Break Records With “INVU”

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon proves impeccable presence in the K-pop industry with her 3rd full album, INVU.
On April 7, Gaon Chart revealed Taeyeon’s recent album won two crowns. In addition, the title song “INVU” topped the Gaon monthly digital and streaming charts for March, realizing her long-run popularity. “INVU” also dominated the Melon monthly chart for March.
As soon as the 3rd full album INVU was released on February 14, the singer showed off her unbeatable reign as the solo queen by ranking on top of domestic and international music charts.
Specifically, INVU topped iTunes charts in 21 countries upon its release. This includes Canada, Sweden, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Chile, Brazil, Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, Turkey, Lebanon, Peru, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and the Philippines.
According to Instiz’s iChart, Taeyeon’s “INVU” scored a perfect all-kill on February 26 at approximately 12:30 PM KST. She has set a new record of being the first song released in 2022 to achieve such an incredible feat.
A perfect all-kill is granted to a song that has topped all the major music streaming platforms in South Korea. In particular, a song should rank No.1 on Melon’s daily and 24Hits charts, the daily and real-time charts of Genie and Bugs, VIBE’s daily chart, and the real-time charts of FLO and iChart and iChart’s weekly chart.
Taeyeon also gave received her blessings from the Hanteo Chart and the Synnara Record for her recent release. INVU was certified platinum. The distinction is given to albums that have sold more than one million yuan (roughly $158,000) on QQ Music, China’s largest music platform.
The album debuted at No. 1 on the South Korean digital album charts. At the same time, the music video for “INVU” remained on YouTube’s Trending List in the Music category a day after its release.
After promoting her masterpiece, the powerful vocalist went on to bag eight music show awards and ranked first on the iTunes Top Album Chart in 23 regions around the world.
Currently, Taeyeon has been a part of tvN’s Amazing Saturday for more than a year since joining the show from episode 135. She also hosts Mnet’s Queendom 2 as the grandmaster alongside the queens’ manager, Lee Yong Jin.
