Kim Min Gyu To Enter Military Camp In April
The actor confirms his enlistment as an active-duty soldier in the army on April 1.
His agency Companion Company announced the news of Kim Min-gyu’s enlistment through the official fan cafe at 9 am on March 20.
Companion Company said, “Kim Min Gyu will enlist as an active-duty soldier in the army on April 1. No separate official event will be held on the day of entering the training center. Please understand that he will be entering in private to prevent safety accidents due to on-site congestion.”
The agency added, “We ask for the love and support from fans so that he can faithfully fulfill his military service obligations and return in a more mature and healthy state.”
Debuted in the 2013 tvN drama Monstar, Kim Min Gyu has appeared in various works such as Signal, Because This is My First Life, Perfume, Queen: Love and War, Backstreet Rookie, and Snowdrop. He emerged as a ‘popular actor’ as he was recognized for his delicate acting skills and ability to digest a wide range of characters.
In particular, he established himself as a next-generation star by impressively portraying the role of Cha Seong-hoon, a friendly yet loyal person and the chief of staff to GO Food CEO Kang Tae-moo, in the 2022 hit rom-com, Business Proposal. In last year’s The Heavenly Idol, he played the role of a high priest and an idol. He received a lot of love for playing the dual role.
Kim Min Gyu plans to complete all his activities by the end of March and prepare for enlistment.
