MAMAMOO’s Wheein will spread her wings with a new solo album this September!

RBW announced on August 29 that MAMAMOO’s Wheein is slated to release her second solo album on September 4.

The agency delivered the pleasant news to MAMAMOO’s fans, with a teaser photo that displayed the singer’s dazzling visuals. It also contained a scrawl of the album’s title Soar on the side.

It also shared a video titled “Making Prologue #0” alongside the singer’s teaser photo. The clip features Wheein unleashing her creative side through painting and singing in a recording studio.

In continuation, she also shared a new teaser video in the midnight of August 30 KST, titled “Making Prologue #1”.

Additionally, RBW announced that the album will be produced by Jung Key. He previously worked with Wheein for the collaboration song “Anymore”. The track proved to be a hit as it placed at number one on domestic charts.

Known best as MAMAMOO’s talented lead vocalist, Wheein made her debut as a soloist, with a digital single titled “Easy” in April 2018. The track featured Sik-K and peaked at number 36 in Korean music charts upon its release.

The singer-songwriter also has a number of chart-topping collaborations under her name, which includes “Narcissus” with Kim Hee Chul and Kim Jung Mo and “Angel” with groupmate Solar both in 2016.

She has also been enlisted as a featured artist in several tracks, like “Ex Girl” by MONSTA X in 2016 and “4:44” by Park Bom in 2019.

Soar will be released on September 4 at 6 PM KST.
