We will wait for you, NCT DREAM!

The highly-awaited concert of the well-loved K-pop boy group NCT DREAM has been cancelled as members Mark and Renjun focus on their recovery from COVID-19.

On July 27, SM Entertainment released an official statement regarding NCT DREAM’s current health conditions and upcoming activities.

The agency first revealed that NCT’s Renjun has tested positive for COVID-19. He became the second member of NCT DREAM to contract the coronavirus following Mark.

“Renjun felt symptoms of an abnormal condition today, and the self-diagnosis kit he carried out gave a positive result, so he immediately proceeded with a PCR test and was finally confirmed,” the agency said.

According to the agency, he had already completed his third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. He halted all his activities and is currently receiving treatment at home while self-isolating.

Initially, they planned to push through with the sold-out three-night concert THE DREAM SHOW 2 : In A Dream at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul sans Mark after his diagnosis earlier this week.

With Renjun’s recent positive result, SM Entertainment officially announced the cancellation of NCT DREAM’s concert this weekend.

“In order to meet the expectations of the fans who have been waiting for the concert, the members and staff have all worked hard to prepare for the concert, but in the current situation, it was an inevitable decision that we could not show the best performance, so we ask for your deep understanding. Purchased tickets will be fully refunded, and details will be announced through the place of purchase,” the agency added.

Moreover, the agency vowed to continue following the quarantine guidelines and do its best to focus on the artists’ treatment and recovery.

Hoping for your complete and speedy recovery, NCT’s Mark and Renjun, and stay safe and healthy to the rest of the members.
