TWICE’s “MOONLIGHT SUNRISE” Enters Billboard Hot 100 Chart

Making their presence known with their nearing comeback, Asia’s top girl group TWICE entered Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for the second time in their career.

The well-loved K-pop nonet dropped their pre-release English single “MOONLIGHT SUNRISE” on January 20, signaling their highly-awaited return.

According to Billboard’s recent announcement on its official website, TWICE”s newest song ranked 84th on the Hot 100. Notably, this became their second song to enter the main chart.

The popular girl group first entered Billboard Hot 100 with her first original English song “The Feels” in October 2021, the 7th year of their debut. As of 2021, as the only K-pop girl group to enter the chart, they showed a unique presence. This  2023, their 9th year of debut, they made their second entry on the chart, continuing a steady growth curve in the global music market.

Thanks to their significant global growth and achievements in 2022, TWICE were honored to be the first K-pop female artist to win the “2023 Billboard Women In Music” awards. It is a large-scale awards ceremony hosted by Billboard, which presents awards to the best female artists, creators, producers, and executives who have had the greatest impact on the music industry during the year. At the awards ceremony to be held at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, USA on March 1st, Twice will take home the Breakthrough Artist category.
