Global fandom lifestyle platform Weverse is offering its new, groundbreaking ‘AR Lens’ feature for fans to use with K-pop icons SEVENTEEN’s 11th mini album, SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN, which was released today.

Leveraging augmented reality (AR) technology, Weverse’s ‘AR Lens’ feature seamlessly transforms static physical album covers into dynamic videos, providing fans an immersive album art experience. To unlock the feature, users can click on the profile icon within the Weverse app and select the “Scan your AR Content: AR Lens” option. This will activate the camera, enabling users to scan the physical album cover and watch as the image transforms into a 3-dimensional animated video. Additionally, users can also record and save a video of the animated album cover.

The AR addition to the release of SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN, breathes life into each of the album’s three covers, embodying a vibrant celebration of SEVENTEEN’s achievements.

In celebration of the ‘AR Lens’ launch, users who scan the album cover with this feature will receive an exclusive collection badge and a detailed portrait image of SEVENTEEN members within the app.

Weverse President Joon Choi said, “The new Weverse AR Lens feature in collaboration with SEVENTEEN has redefined the album experience by expanding the spectrum of artist content for fans to enjoy their beloved artists’ music.” He added, “Weverse will continue to collaborate with various labels and artists to expand the scope of fan experience.”

The act’s new mini album SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN has garnered over 4.67 million domestic and international pre-orders to date, setting a new record for the highest record of pre-orders for a SEVENTEEN album.
