Kim Won Shik and JAYDEN Join The Lead Cast of Philippine Mini-Series “Pag-Ibig Na Kaya”
Sealing new career ventures, Korean actor Kim Won Shik and Korean singer JAYDEN are set to appear in Universal Records PH first-ever mini-series.
Universal Records, one of the biggest and most-known record labels in the Philippines just produced its first-ever online mini-series and it’s set to launch this February 2023!
Pag-ibig Na Kaya, led by the now real-life couple Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz. It is written by JP Lopez and directed by Niq Ablao.
In the series, Kim Won Shik (Alchemy of Souls, True Beauty), is billed to be the second male lead for this show, which is all about love and its many forms.
Interestingly, Kim Won Shik can really understand and even speak the Filipino language, since he was able to study in the Philippines for six and a half years.
When asked about his new career venture, Sam proves he is wise beyond his years by considering the experience he will get from the project.
“I became easily invested in my role in “Pag-ibig Na Kaya” after reading the script. It quickly felt that its overall treatment is truly inspired by K-Dramas. Although I feel pressured since I need to speak English and Filipino in most of my scenes, this entire show is a fantastic experience that will greatly contribute to my growth as an actor.”

Meanwhile, JAYDEN portrays himself — as a K-Pop artist. “Actually, I’m very honored because I’ve never had a film or series before. So, it’s really my first time acting and again I’m very honored,” he said.
Yoon Jay-den (윤제이든) is a South Korean-German singer under PARKYOON Entertainment. He’s fluent in English and is actually a pre-debut member of the group DS BOYS (now known as LUMINOUS)
JAYDEN eventually became a soloist and made his debut in July 2021 with his single “26”, followed by “SEE U AGAIN” Meanwhile, his latest release “Don’t Leave Me” which came out September last year now has almost 100,000 streams on Spotify.
Regarding his character preparations and working with fellow cast members, JAYDEN happily shared his experience.
“I can’t speak Filipino so they wrote my script in English. It was easy for me to memorize it. For me the storyline is good. It was my first time acting so I was nervous at first but everyone was so nice and the actors are nice. I had so much fun. I hope Filipino fans like it. I hope they can find something very refreshing and special in this mini-series.”
