Fresh off the success of the gripping series “Hellbound,” director Yeon Sang-ho and writer Choi Gyu-seok are back for another mind-bending Netflix project – Revelations.

This film adaptation of Yeon’s own webtoon dives into a complex missing-person case, where faith clashes with reason. We follow a determined pastor, Min-chan (played by Ryu Jun Yeol), convinced he’s received a divine revelation identifying the culprit. Haunted by visions of her deceased sister, detective Yeon-hee (played by Shin Hyun Been) is assigned to the case and finds herself questioning not only the suspect but also Min-chan’s motives.

Expect Yeon’s signature exploration of human nature in a chaotic world. He’ll challenge viewers to grapple with themes of religion, belief, and the blurred lines between good and evil. Choi, known for his insightful social commentary, contributes his immersive storytelling style to craft a thought-provoking narrative.

Adding star power behind the scenes is Academy Award-winning director Alfonso Cuarón (Gravity, Roma) as an executive producer. “His influence has greatly impacted my work,” says Yeon, expressing his excitement about the collaboration.

Revelations is produced by WOW POINT, the company behind Korean hits like “The Bequeathed” and Parasyte: The Grey. With this powerhouse team assembled, “Revelations” promises to be a must-watch for fans of suspenseful mysteries and Yeon’s captivating storytelling. While a release date hasn’t been announced yet, stay tuned for updates on this highly anticipated Netflix film.
