GOT7: Malaysia Will Always Have A Place In Our Heart
GOT7 will always have a special relationship with Malaysia.
GOT7 boys had their fans soaring sky-high during the group’s recent landing on Malaysian shores for ‘GOT7 – Flight Log: Turbulence in Malaysia’ on 4 December 2016 at Mega Star Arena, Kuala Lumpur.
JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam and Yugyeom took the crowd through an exciting night filled with their boundless energy and slick performances.
IGOT7’s amazing cheers also clearly showed how much Malaysian fans have been waiting for the group to return to the country for a concert, since the septet’s last fan meeting in 2015.
Dressed casually in monochrome, the boys started off sweet and mellow with Let Me and Prove It. Right after, they soon let loose their signature playfulness during the Q&A session.
The members had the chance to pick a fan-submitted question from the prepared board, and the group decided it was Youngjae’s time to shine, declaring the night “Youngjae’s day”.
To fans’ delight, Youngjae had to copy Yugyeom’s passionate dance, rap to Jackson’s part in Hard Carry, and express his love to IGOT7.
After warming up the crowd, GOT7 wasted no time and went straight into performing Boom x3, a favourite of Jinyoung, BamBam and Jackson, and No Jam.
The boys then returned backstage for a quick breather, before coming back on stage for a few games.

A tale of boxes, balloons and 7 boys
The first game was Guess The Item, where the members had to put their hands in a box that concealed a mystery object, and then guess what it was.
The team was split into the Old Boy (JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung) and Young Boy (Youngjae, BamBam, Yugyeom) teams. The boxes had two local fruits, namely starfruit and dragonfruit respectively.

The members’ fearful reactions to sticking their hands into the mystery box definitely had the crowd in stitches but regardless, both teams managed to get their secret items correct.
As a tie-breaker, the teams played rock-paper-scissors, and the Old Boys emerged victorious. The losing team then had to take a polaroid with funny faces.
The second game was the Boom Balloon game. Jackson and Bambam lost their rounds, and their punishment was to take a polaroid of themselves with ugly faces.
BamBam jokingly replied that he “lost 300 Instagram followers already” because of it, and Jackson implored his fans not to leave him after seeing his derp expression.
The members then chose two lucky fans from the crowd via a lucky draw to receive the polaroids.
GOT7 + IGOT7 = ♡
After a brief break backstage, they quickly returned with fan-favourites, Fly, If You Do, and Hard Carry, that had the audiences singing along.
Their dynamic live performances are a reminder of why GOT7 is truly deserving of its recent Worldwide Favourite Artist award, conferred at the Mnet Asian Music Awards just days before its Malaysia show.

GOT7’s energy showed no signs of slowing down, with BamBam proving why he is GOT7’s Dab King and Jackson chattering to the crowd in Cantonese. The boys then decided to use the time to sincerely thank fans with their personal messages:
Yugyeom: I really missed Malaysian fans! I love IGOT7 and I will come back more often.
BamBam: It’s been a long time since we came here, I just want to say we miss you so much. Malaysia is very special (to us) because we shot a MV here; in the future we promise to come back here with better performances. We promise to come back soon, we always love you guys so much.
Youngjae: It’s hotter in here because of fans, I want to thank fans for all their big cheers, I’m really happy about it! Nothing has changed since we last came for ‘A’ MV shoot and I really like that. I love you, Malaysia!
Jinyoung: It is the first time I am greeting Malaysian fans since I’ve changed my name, and I can feel the power of our fans. Thank you so much for the love; the more you love us, we will give you a bigger love.
Jackson: So good to be back here again, we miss you guys so much. You guys are always motivation to GOT7 in everything we do. Without you, we would have nothing at all!
Mark: 2016 has been a great year for GOT7 because of all of our fans that support us. We filmed one of our MVs in Malaysia so Malaysia will always have a place in our heart.
JB: The existence of GOT7 is because of fans, so we are very thankful. GOT7 will work really really hard until we break to show you better performances next year. Thank you for all your support once we arrived in Malaysia. The weather is really hot but I think fans are way more hotter!
Thankfully to fans, the night did not end there.
GOT7 performed HOME RUN and a new remix of A during the encore, which had fans up on their feet during the songs.
Sadly, GOT7 had to say their goodbyes right after the encore, but lucky fans were able to see the boys up close and personal during the Hello and Photo Op session.
