[FAN MEETING RECAP] B.I Treats Filipino IDs With Back-To-Back Shows In Manila
Two shows were definitely a must for B.I’s much-anticipated return to Manila!
Multi-talented South Korean soloist B.I held his highly-awaited first-ever fan meeting in Manila with back-to-back shows last August 27 at the New Frontier Theater.

Presented by Three Angles Production, both the 1 PM and 7 PM shows were successfully completed with the support of Filipino IDs (B.I’s official fan club name).
Kim Hanbin, best known for his stage name B.I, kicked off his fan meeting with amazing performances of “Waterfall” and “Illa Illa.”

After his opening performances, B.I had a short interview with the host. He was asked about his fan meeting in Singapore and Thailand, to which the brilliant soloist responded that he had fun.

B.I also shared that one particular song that always receives the loudest cheers from fans is “Cosmos.” While writing “Cosmos,” he visualized that it would be a fun and exciting song. The all-rounder artist shared that he could not perform “Cosmos” before in front of a huge crowd because of the pandemic. Now, he is really happy to be able to sing the song because the fans can now see the true vivid color of “Cosmos.”
Asked on his most impressive experience when preparing for his fan meeting, he responded that everything was unforgettable since he prepared a lot for this, especially today that he was able to cover many songs. In addition, the fans recommended B.I to try Adobo and Lechon while he’s in the Philippines.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX
In this game, B.I would have to guess what’s inside the mystery box. And if he fails to answer it correctly, he would have to do a penalty.
The first one is the chicken toy and B.I was able to guess it correctly. However, fans wanted him to do the penalty, so he willingly got pulled into PH IDs’ trap. B.I did the “Woo to the Young to the Woo” trend from the hit K-drama series Extraordinary Attorney Woo. He tailored it according to his and his fans’ syllabicated names: B.I and ID.
Then, the second mystery box had him guess the angel wings. Unfortunately, he couldn’t guess it, but it was an opportunity for the fans to see B.I perform a penalty. He did the famous fireworks dance part from Red Velvet’s “Feel My Rhythm.”

The last one he had to guess was a famous snack from the Philippines, which is banana chips, and again the fans chanted “penalty,” so B.I was happy to do it again and danced to aespa’s “Next Level,” which made the fans feel satisfied.

After the fun game, a VCR was shown in the venue with B.I answering these cute random questions from fans while playing with the dogs, Yeontan, and Milk. The well-loved singer-songwriter shared in this interview that his dream as an artist is to receive a Grammy award, put his name on Billboard, and of course, go on a tour.
Coming back on stage, B.I hyped up the crowd with his songs “Flame” and “Lover” while the fans were singing along and waving their lightsticks.

Sweet Time with B.I
Afterward, he played another game titled “Sweet Time with B.I,” where fans could imagine what would happen if they were on a date with him for a day.

For the outfit, B.I it chose to wear a traditional Korean hanbok during a date in an amusement park. As for the snacks, he chose popcorn instead of steamed corn, expressing his sentiment on how sweet it would be if he fed IDs with popcorn. He then chose the bumper car for the ride instead of the merry-go-round.
He did a lot of cute poses as a couple of photo ops, making fans scream in delight. B.I then chose a necklace as a gift to give when he confessed, pointing out how weird it would be if he gave a huge ring. Concluding the game, B.I said “punta tayo sa bahay ko,” which obviously had fans go crazy.
When the host asked B.I how was the segment, he said it was fun but felt something was wrong because he’s wearing a hanbok.
NEW ALBUM IS COMING SOON
After the game, B.I teased that he is preparing to release an album sometime next year. “Autumn is coming, so my new album is coming soon. I hope you anticipate it. I’ll make sure there will be more fan meetings and concerts. I hope you guys look forward to that,” he said.
Pumping up the already heated crowd, B.I captivated everyone with “BTBT” and “Cosmos” numbers.

In addition, he sang “Re-birth” and dedicated this song to one of his Filipino IDs, Lovely Ann, who passed away last August 24. B.I shared, “I received unfortunate news about someone who should’ve been here tonight. This song is called ‘Re-Birth,’ and I dedicate this song to her.”
“THANK YOU FOR COMING BACK TO US”
Giving back the love to their favorite artist, the fans also presented a special VCR to B.I as he was preparing to take a group photo with fans. The Filipino IDs sang “No Matter What,” a fan-made track in reply to B.I’s “Re-birth.”

Ending the fan meeting, B.I promised he would return to the Philippines with lots of new songs, igniting the excitement of the fans with the thought of seeing their favorite artist again in the future.
