FAN MEETING RECAP: Lee Sung Kyoung Lines Up Delightful Treats For Her Filipino Fans At “Be CLOSER in MNL”
Truly talented and adoring to fans, Lee Sung Kyoung made sure that her Filipino fans went home with the best fan service possible!
Packed with a showcase of her talents, the actress engaged with her fans at the recently held Be CLOSER in MNL fan meeting held at SM Skydome on July 8.
As soon as she steps on the stage, Lee Sung Kyoung made her Filipino fans’ hearts flutter with a song number.
Her cover of IU’s “Hold My Hand’ kickstarts an energizing night of candid chats, games and various stage numbers.
Greeting the crowd enthusiastically, she spoke in Filipino language expressing how she is elated to meet the fans she missed so much.
She then relays the reason for her fan meeting’s title is to get even more connected to her fans.
In a quick candid chat, the actress shares interesting details about herself while explaining some of her photos.
First, she affirms her commitment to being healthy as a picture of her working out displaying her toned back was seen.
Next, she also shares a summer-themed pictorial done in winter attesting to her professionalism.
Her kindness also shines through when she relayed how she wanted to complete the pictorial quickly with the staff in her mind because it was extremely cold.
Revealing her food preferences with the Filipino dishes she’s tried so far, she said she prefers “sisig” (a ground meat pork dish) and “sinigang” (tamarind-based stew).
She also shares she loves desserts and enjoys eating bingsu, jelly and snacks.

After a quick break, she emerges back on stage in character as Cha Eun-jae and crooned to Dr. Romantic 2 OST “My Love” by Chungha. Demonstrating her singing prowess, Lee Sung Kyoung hit high notes impressively while sharing the emotions of the song.
She also affirms the cast synergy in the drama was really great when she was put on the spot to choose who among her co-stars, she likes the most.
As if showing her songstress side is not enough, Lee Sung Kyoung exploded on the stage with her dance covers of Destiny Rogers’ “Tomboy”, IVE’s “After LIKE”, and Le Sserafim’s “Unforgiven”.
Known for her genuine adoration of her fans, the Korean sweetheart indulged in fun games with preselected lucky members of the audience.
For an interesting unveiling of adorable TMI’s about her; she also put smiles on the crowd’s faces with her revelations such as:
- She does not search for her name online.
- She stretches the moment she wakes up in the morning.
- She prefers soft body wash over crisp body wash
- She uses emoticons when using Messenger and the crying emoticon is her favorite.
- Apple is healthy and she is especially fond of it.
- Spark is important for her when having a relationship. She also prefers someone who likes her personality.
- She has eaten 4 packs of ramyun and defended she is relatively tall so it’s okay.
- She wants to watch videos when eating alone.
- She is more scared of bugs than a ghost.
As the energizing fan meeting comes to an end, Lee Sung Kyoung gifts her fans with a cover of the song “Reflection” from the film Mulan.
Expressing her eagerness to meet her fans again, she appreciated the project prepared by her fans.
“Filipino fans are the best. When I receive your love I feel grateful guys. I’m so touched. Mahal ko kayo. You almost made me cry. You made me strong with your passion and cheers. I will come back as soon as possible.”
