“The Glory” Lead Stars and Showrunners Tease Fans Of What To Expect In Part 2 of the Series

After months of heated anticipation for The Glory Part 2, the wait is finally about to end!

Celebrating the release of Part 2, Netflix held a special session to answer the burning questions and curiosity from fans worldwide with writer Kim Eun-sook, Director An Gil-ho, talents Song Hye-kyo, Jung Sung-ill, Cha Joo-young, Kim Hieora and Kim Gun-woo.

Following the explosive reactions of Part 1, some questions included how the cast and crew have been after the record-breaking global reactions, to which Song Hye-kyo answered that she received so many questions from friends like “You will get your revenge, right?” to which she answered, “Just watch it on March 10th”.

Jung Sung-ill (Ha Do-yeong) said “It’s been so long since the shoot that I forgot”. Someone who probably got the most questions was Kim Gun-woo, who plays the role of Son Myeong-o whose livelihood is left a mystery at the end of Part 1- to people asking him what happens, he simply said “I don’t know if I (Son Myeong-o) am dead or alive! Maybe neither!”

Responding to Fan Theories

There were various fan theories that were piling up in the comment sections below clips of The Glory, and Writer Kim Eun-sook revealed that there was one fan theory that got it 100% correct.

One fan analyzed that The Glory is a battle between Moon Dong-eun who doesn’t believe in the existence of God and only believes in her own will to seek revenge and Park Yeon-jin who is a devoted member of a cult.

” I was baffled because this was close to the underlying theme of the entire series I had in mind. I really wanted to contact the fan to work for me!,” said Writer Kim.

Some fans asked questions regarding what the real-life chemistry is like between the actors, as the writing (scenario) is merciless yet bloody. Contrary to the series itself, the cast revealed that they are very
close off-camera.

Towards the end of the GV, Cha Joo-young (Choi Hye-jeong) shed a tear, saying “Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity to make amazing friends”.

Video clips were also revealed where the villains were hugging and laughing with each other in between takes. Make sure to notice the intensified chemistry between the actors as the series heads to an end!

Director An Gil-ho told fans that he put a lot of attention while portraying the change of seasons as a way of showing how the plotline progresses. He also stated that he put a lot of detail in the scene that was
revealed in the trailer for Part 2 where Dong-eun reveals her scars.

“I focused a lot on what that experience means for Dong-eun”, and hoped that fans would enjoy the scene. Take a close look at the aesthetic intentions as the plot intensifies.

What to expect in The Glory Part 2?

Global fans have also submitted eager questions asking what to expect from Part 2. Jung Sung-ill answered in three simple words: “Confusion, destruction, oblivion” whereas writer Kim Eun-sook hinted at it by
saying that “Part 2 is even more frightening”.

To one fan who noted that in the trailer for Part 2 Moon Dong-eun loses her stoic grounds and screams “Don’t laugh like that!” Song Hye-kyo stated that while in Part 1 she was still doing her best to get into character, in Part 2 she was able to really express a diverse range of emotions.

Writer Kim Eun-sook also dropped the most significant comment saying “I tried really hard to be on Dong-eun’s side as this story runs towards the end for the final judgment”.
