ARMYs will surely support their beloved “Worldwide Handsome” in his decisions!

The South Korean boy group BTS has recently held a Global Press Conference for their newest album Map Of The Soul: 7.

Originally, the huge media gathering was scheduled to happen at COEX in Seoul but due to the ongoing health concerns, the press conference has been replaced by a live stream. After greeting the media and the audience online, the septet then gamely answered questions during the press conference.

The significance of seven

Describing how meaningful their brand-new album is for them, Jin says, “Map of the Soul: 7 is an album that looks back at the seven years spent by the seven members as a team.”

Narrating that in their previous album Map of the Soul: Persona, they spoke about the world, the joy of love, and their image. This time, they wanted to deal with different things such as their experiences that brought them here and the candid emotions they feel in the moment.  “It reveals our deep inner selves that we had wanted to hide, and at the same time, we are confessing our discovery that these are also our true selves,” he added.

Military enlistment

Aside from talking about their new set of songs, BTS likewise answered a question regarding their impending military enlistment. As the group’s oldest member, Jin shared his honest thoughts about his mandatory stint by saying, “I think many people are curious about my enlistment, but nothing has been confirmed.”

Sharing that he is extra cautious in speaking about the matter, he then candidly revealed: “I believe it is only natural to accept the mandatory military duty, and I will go when I receive a draft notice, no matter when that is.”

Upcoming World Tour

Meanwhile, before BTS begin their military duty, the boys are set to treat ARMYs worldwide with their upcoming Map of the Soul Tour. The massive concert series will kick off with a four-day party in Seoul on April 11, 12, 18, and 19.
