It’s been a long time coming, but BTS will be back on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform “Butter” and “Permission to Dance”.

It’s been a year since BTS and Jimmy Fallon joined forces to provide viewers with high caliber performances and comedy gold. So, it’ll be a reunion for the ages when the South Korean idols take over The Tonight Show to perform their Billboard record-breaking hit, “Butter”, and their brand new single, “Permission To Dance”.

2-Day Takeover On The Tonight Show

The two-night musical event will commence on July 13 and culminate on July 14. On night 1, BTS will debut the live performance of “Permission To Dance” and sit down for  chat with the talk show host for a much-needed catch-up. Night 2 is reserved for “Butter”, which shattered records on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart for 6 weeks in a row. (It’s inability to drop from the number 1 spot is the longest mic drop that we’ve ever seen.)

Sky High Expectations For 2-Day Takeover

J-Hope, Suga, Jin, RM, Jimin, Jungkook, and V last took the stage of the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in October 2020 for the program’s spectacular BTS Week. The music-filled event was highlighted by performances of “Dynamite”, “Black Swan”, “Home”, “Mikrokosmos”, and “Idol” among others.

Doing what he does best, Jimmy Fallon also made sure to inject some wholesome fun games into the mix, which the members gamely participated in. (Who could ever forget the Zoom Olympics?)

Based on the massive traction that BTS Week gained in 2020, the expectations for their upcoming appearances on the talk show are sky high!
