Sealing its first No.1 album on the Billboard 200 albums chart, TXT became the fifth K-pop artist to top the Billboard 200, following BTS, SuperM, Stray Kids, and BLACKPINK.

Based on the February 11 tally, the 5-track album earned over 161,500 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending Feb. 2. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. The new Feb. 11, 2023-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Feb. 7.

In particular, Big Hit Music, the agency of BTS and TOMORROW X TOGETHER, has set a record as the only Korean music management company to have more than one group of singers ranked first on the Billboard main chart.

TXT’s 5th mini album, The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION is an album that tells the story of youth who are swayed by the temptation that hinders their growth, but eventually overcome the temptation and become stronger and grow.

The title song “Sugar Rush Ride” is an alternative pop dance genre song that depicts a boy falling into an irresistible allurement.

The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION sold 1,868,919 copies on the first day of release alone, and on the 1st, the 6th day of release, the cumulative total was 2,027,817 copies.

After 3 years and 11 months since their debut, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, who has the initial Double Million Seller record, set a new record among K-pop artists for achieving the lowest annual initial Double Million Seller record.

The title song “Sugar Rush Ride” entered Spotify’s Daily Top Song Global Chart, the world’s largest music streaming company, at number 38, and then surpassed 10 million views on the chart as of February 1, six days after its release.

Relevantly, TXT is also the second artist in Hanteo history to surpass 1.8 million sales on the first day of an album’s release, following BTS.

Aside from this, The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION also achieved the fourth-highest first-day sales of any album in Hanteo history, bested only by the BTS albums Map of the Soul: 7, Proof, and BE.
