BTOB’s Ilhoon Announces Departure From “Idol Radio” As DJ

BTOB’s Ilhoon will definitely be dearly missed by Idol Radio listeners.

BTOB’s Ilhoon sadly announced on the night of September 23 that he will be saying goodbye to his position as a DJ on MBC’s Idol Radio program.

The BTOB member broke fans’ hearts upon his revelation on the show last night that he is scheduled to have his final broadcast as Idol Radio‘s beloved DJ by the end of September.

“I have something I need to tell everyone. It is burdensome to say this on-air, but I have to deliver this to everyone. After much consideration, I decided to host Idol Radio only until the end of this month. I also feel bad about it because I think I delivered this news too late. I’m sorry for the listeners who love me and had to suddenly hear this news,” Ilhoon said during the show’s broadcast.

“I think this will only be a resting period for me. I’ve made a lot of really good memories here and I think everyone who has listened to the show until now will know that. I will continue to love Idol Radio forever for the beautiful memories it gave me. From now on, I will work to impress you as Jung Ilhoon rather than as Idol Radio‘s DJ. I think this will only be a temporary goodbye. I’d love to return as a guest in the future when I release an album and bring laughter,” he added as well.

Since the seventh episode of Idol Radio aired on October 2018, Ilhoon had been hosting the show after taking over his fellow BTOB member Eunkwang’s spot who led the popular MBC radio show from its first to the sixth episode.
