BTS’ Jimin Donates Scholarship to Department of Physical Therapy at Dongeui Institute of Technology

Continuing his noble and generous acts supporting education for underprivileged but deserving students, Jimin presented a scholarship to the Department of Physical Therapy at Dongeui Institute of Technology in Busan.

News of BTS’s Jimin’s heartwarming donation was recently revealed on the official website of the university. The school expressed its gratitude, saying, “We are grateful to Jimin of BTS for supporting the development of the Department of Physical Therapy at Dongeui Science University.”

Busan Dongeui Institute of Technology posted a photo of the BTS Jimin Scholarship Award Ceremony on its website and announced that a second-year student was selected as a scholarship student in the first semester of the 2024 school year. He then added that students under the scholarship program will be selected for the second semester as well.

Jimin has been doing good deeds in various fields since his debut. In particular, he continues to donate to the welfare of underprivileged children and to improve the educational environment, serving as an example to many.

In 2018, he donated school uniform fees for juniors at Hoedong Elementary School in Busan, his alma mater, and in 2019, he donated 100 million won in educational donations to the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education to support low-income students at 16 schools in the Busan area. Then, in February 2020, he replaced desks and chairs for all students at Busan Arts High School.

In August 2020, he donated 100 million won in scholarship funds to the Jeonnam Future Education Foundation, and in July 2021, he donated 100 million won to Lottery International for polio patients around the world. On October 13th of the same year, on his birthday, he donated more than 100 million won to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation and was listed as a member of the Green Noble Club, a group of major donors.

In 2022, he privately donated 100 million won to the Gangwon Provincial Office of Education, and in 2023, he donated 100 million won to emergency relief for children affected by the Turkey and Syria earthquakes. And in the same year, on the release date of his first solo album, he donated 100 million won to the Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education.

Jimin donated 100 million won to a project for the healthy independence of children who have ended their protection and to a project to improve the residential environment of children who are experiencing economic difficulties after COVID-19 and are living in poor living environments, and has also performed various good deeds.
