D1CE Announces Disbandment After Contract Expires

Wishing the members of D1CE the best in their future endeavors.

On January 20 KST, the agency D1CE Entertainment announced the expiration of the exclusive contract with D1CE through the group’s official fan cafe and SNS channels. Read the statement below.

Hello. This is D1CE Entertainment.

First, we’d like to sincerely thank the fans who have generously supported D1CE.

We want to announce that the exclusive contracts between D1CE Entertainment and D1CE’s Woo Jin Young, Park Woo Dam, Kim Hyun Soo, Jung Yoo Jun, and Jo Yong Geun have expired on January 20, 2023. Over a long period of time, we shared in-depth discussions with the members and to respect the opinions of Woo Jin Young, Park Woo Dam, Kim Hyun Soo, Jung Yoo Jun, and Jo Yong Geun who wish to achieve new dreams, we mutually agreed to end our exclusive contracts.

We want to sincerely thank D1CE who has been with D1CE Entertainment from August 1, 2019 until now, and we will always sincerely support the activities of Woo Jin Young, Park Woo Dam, Kim Hyun Soo, Jung Yoo Jun, and Jo Yong Geun.

Once again, we’d like to sincerely thank the many fans who supported D1CE all this time by their side, and we ask for lots of encouragement and support for the five members who are making new starts. Thank you.

Following the statement release, Jin-young, Park Woo-dam, Kim Hyun-soo, Jung Yoo-jun, Cho Yong-geun, shared handwritten notes across the group’s various SNS accounts thanking fans for their support.

Who was D1CE?

D1CE was a group that has become a hot topic because all of its members were from audition survival programs. Cho Yong-geun, Park Woo-dam, and Woo Jin-young made their faces known through Mnet’s Produce 101 Season 2, a cable channel. In particular, Woo Jin-young won first place on JTBC’s Mix Nine, a comprehensive programming channel, but he suffered the pain of his canceled debut.

Meanwhile, D1CE debuted in August 2019 with the mini album Wake up: Roll the World. Woo Jin-young released her solo album in July of last year, and the other four members currently serve in the military.
