Lai Kuan Lin received a sweet shoutout and gift from basketball star Stephen Curry!

After joking on TV about meeting Stephen Curry, Lai Kuan Lin got a huge surprise from the basketball player himself on March 26!

2019 seems to be the year of the former Wanna One member because after working with PENTAGON’s Wooseok whom he looked up to for a mini-album, another of his idols reached out to him – and it’s none other than NBA’s Stephen Curry.

Via his official Weibo account, the Golden State Warriors player shared a photo of him holding up a signed jersey – which he wishes to give to Kuan Lin.

“Here’s a gift for you to wear when we actually play basketball for three hours! Let’s make it happen,” Curry wrote on his post.

The basketball player’s post was in response to a joking lie Kuan Lin made on a variety program in the past. Back then, the former Wanna One member said that he had met Stephen Curry with the help of an acquaintance and played basketball with him for three hours – which totally did not happen in real life!

However, it looks like Curry aims to turn that joke into reality, especially with his upcoming scheduled visit to China in June to greet his Chinese fans.

It is widely known amongst Kuan Lin’s fans that his favourite basketball player is Stephen Curry and he is an avid fan of the player’s team Golden State Warriors. With a towering height of 6 feet, he himself played the position of a small forward in his school team before making his idol debut.
