SF9’s Hwiyoung Confirms Solo Debut Later This Month

The wait is finally over. After seven years since its debut, SF9’s Hwiyoung will debut as a solo artist.

On August 1, an official from FNC Entertainment told news outlets that “Hwiyoung will release his first digital solo single in August.”

Hwiyoung’s solo debut comes about 7 years after his debut in SF9 on October 5, 2016, with the digital single album Feeling Sensation. This was followed by the group’s subsequent projects Burning Sensation, Breaking Sensation, Knights of the Sun, Mamma Mia, Sensuous, NARCISSUS, RPM, FIRST COLLECTION, 9loryUS, Special History Book, Turn Over, Rumination, The Wave OF9, and The Piece OF9. 

During this time, Hwiyoung has demonstrated his insane talent, raking up forty-seven combined writing and producing credits for SF9 and two writing credits for fellow FNC artist Cherry Bullet.

In particular, Hwiyoung has shown a wide musical spectrum by releasing his solo works through his SoundCloud, further raising expectations for his solo debut.
