Super Junior’s Ryeowook Returns To Fans With A Little Royal Treat After Military
Fresh from his military duties, Super Junior’s Ryeowook comes back to his idol life with “Return to the Little Prince”.
Ryeowook gave back to his local fans with a domestic fan meeting on July 12. Having been recently discharged from military duties on July 10, the singer met with his fans through Return to the Little Prince at the SM TOWN Theater in Seoul.
There, he performed songs from his solo album The Little Prince like “Hello”, “Like a Star”, and the title track of the album “The Little Prince”.
He was especially touched with the letters gathered from his fans, noting that there were a lot. He was very happy to hear the fans sing along to his performances and he hoped that they took good memories home with them after the fan meet. He promised to often make more times like this as he surprised his fans with an unexpected high touch event.
Ryeowook’s EP, The Little Prince, was the first album ever released under Super Junior’s own label, Label SJ, by SM Entertainment. Released on 28 January 2018, the extended play was heavily influenced by Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s book, The Little Prince.
The title track, “The Little Prince”, is a ballad song which conveys a conversation between a man in pain from love and The Little Prince.
After the album’s release, Ryeowook held his first solo concert through SM TOWN’s The Agit series. Ever Lasting Star – Ryeowook was held on 19 to 21 February 2018 at the SMTOWN Coex Atrium.
Upon returning to his idol group Super Junior, he will be joining his group mates soon at their variety show, Super TV, currently at its second season. Fans can catch Super TV on XtvN during Thursdays, 8pm KST and on tvN during Fridays at 6:40pm KST.
